A Life Wheel is a fun, easy tool to assess what is and isn’t working in your life.  My wheel includes the 8 most important pieces of our lives:

Health

Family

Career

Finances

Time

Spirituality

Romance/Adventure

Self Care

Download this wheel here or draw a big circle and divide it into 8 sections.  Write one of the above categories into each section.

Then, thinking of the inside of the circle as 0 and the outside of the circle as 100, how would you rate this part of your life?  Don’t think more than a second or two.  Your first instinct best.  Mark a dot in each triangle between 0 and 100.

One you have a dot in each section, connect the dots.  Each wheel will look different.  Some will look fairly even and some lopsided.  Some will have a lot of low scores and some will have a lot of high scores.  There is no right or wrong.  This is just a quick glimpse at what is in and out of balance in your life.

Finally, think about your Wheel:

  • What part of your life is most important to you?
  • How did you score on that?
  • What part are you doing the best in?
  • Is that part of your life the biggest priority or not?
  • What part did you score low?
  • Is that you biggest priority or not?

If you aren’t happy with some of your answers, take some time to make a plan.
